Fire Department

The Mission of the Harpersville Fire Department, is to protect the life and property of it's citizens and visitors and preserve the town's rich past and bright future.

Our department began as a volunteer Rescue Squad in 1970 and began full-time fire and emergency medical services in 2001.  Today, we are comprised of professional and volunteer fireman and EMT's that respond to over 500 calls for help each year.

The Harpersville Fire Department operate an ALS (Advanced Life Support) Engine Company and work on a 24 hour on-duty / 48 hour off-duty schedule.  We have an excellent working relationship with surrounding departments and cover approximately 90 square miles, including surrounding unincorporated county areas from one fire station.

The Harpersville Fire Department has a proud history of excellence and currently provides an ISO Class 4 rating to our rural community.  Since homeowner's and business insurance rates are based upon a city's rating, lower ratings mean savings to all property owners.  We are committed to strive for excellence in all areas of service to our citizens and visitors of our growing community.
